Music Monday Mixtape – I’m probably drunk

Not just a statement of fact that could be true on any given afternoon, but the theme of my mix tape this week. Doesn’t need much of a preamble, it’s a collection of songs that become more enjoyable the more you imbibe. Lots of them are already drink related, others just inebriation enjoyable.

Enjoy.

  1. Yep, it looks like you’ve had too much to drink…wait a minute…what do I know of these things? Very little that’s for sure I tell you, but guessing by your playlist compilation then I can deduce that either alcohol was a factor or your iPod is set to shuffle. But, in truth, if this is the worse thing you do while drunk assuming your playlist isn’t set to shuffle, then no one is going to complain. I don’t drink. *don’t judge* I never got the appeal of alcoholic beverages, really. Just never appealed to my taste buds. You did throw in a few of my personal all-time favorites: All Night Long & Africa. Thanks for sharing your tunes. Maybe, next week you’ll be sober and you’ll want to share some of your Christmas cheer (leave the booze on the shelf) with you favorite Christmas songs?! lol I’m sorry I just couldn’t resist. You know I was teasing, right? 😀 Have a very Merry Christmas!!

    1. 😀 Fair play to you- I fell off a sofa dancing to Mr Richie under the influence (or did I try to Dance on the Ceiling?) so clearly not drinking is a smart life choice!!!

There is so much Christmas coming soon. It’s not a question of choosing which songs, but of getting it down to a neat 100 or so tracks! I love Christmas!

But if you want my favourite in advance, David Bowie and Bing Crosby doing ‘Little Drummer Boy’ is the best thing ever, especially if you find the version floating round Youtube from a Bing Crosby Christmas special with some really naff dialogue at the start!

Thanks for coming over as always!!! And an early Merry Christmas to you!

  2. I was thinking, “I wonder if that’s Tom Waits in the picture?” You didn’t say it was, but you have his name in the tags. It is him. I love his gravel voice. It’s been awhile since I’ve listed to some of the songs you have posted. Thanks for the listen.
